Selective Process

The regular admission of students in PPGA UFBA is done by means of public selection of tests and titles annually. In general, the selection calendars and registration period are usually disclosed between August and September, each year; This period may, however, be altered, according to the academic calendar of UFBA. The Masters and doctoral selections comprise the evaluation of the candidate's curriculum, evidence dealing with topics pertinent to the anthropological theory and examination of the pre-dissertation or thesis project, as well as proof of proficiency in the foreign language. For the master's degree is required proficiency in a foreign language-preferably English-and for the doctorate is required proficiency in two foreign languages-preferably, English and French. Candidates with proficiency certification may require exemption from language exams.
